Notably, many people who are hostile to religion make a point of rejecting the God of Genesis precisely because they are so morally offended by any God who would kill almost every male, female, and juvenile of every species on earth because of the sin of even a multitude of humans. I am not only agreeing with their moral offense; I am suggesting that the narrative itself clearly agrees with their evaluation. If this is the case, the narrative deserves a second, more careful look on the part of those who reject it on said grounds.
